ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport
Upon arrival at Kigali airport our company representative will be holding a placard bearing your names welcoming you. He will transfer you to Volcanoes national park. Overnight stay at Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB)

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Parc National des Volcans
After a heavy breakfast, transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters for briefing from the senior park ranger and begin the gorilla trek. You will have an opportunity to stay in the presence of the mountain gorillas for a maximum of a full hour. Return to the lodge for your lunch. Dinner and overnight at Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB)

Day 3: Transfer to Kisoro – Uganda
After breakfast, cross to Uganda and stay in Kisoro for an overnight. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge / Travelers Rest Hotel Kisoro (FB)

Day 4: Tracking mountain gorillas
This morning track either Nshongi or Nkuringo gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge / Travelers Rest Hotel Kisoro (FB)

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise on this beautiful and bilharzia-free lake. Visit the Pygmies (Batwa) for a cultural entertainment. Overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages

Day 6: Transfer back to Rwanda
This morning return to Kigali for a city tour. Visit the Gisozi genocide memorial site.
In the afternoon transfer to Akagera national park for an overnight stay at Akagera Safari Lodge

Day 7: Game drive in Akagera national park
Enjoy a morning game drive and later transfer back to Kigali airport for your scheduled return flight.
