ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park ranger at 07.00. Immediately after the briefing, commence the gorilla trek into the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes in company of game rangers and porters. Remember to bring suitable hiking boots, long trousers and gloves, some snacks & sweets as well as sufficient amount of drinking water. The time spent in the forest to encounter the mountain gorillas depends on their movements in their natural environments.
Descend to the lodge for late lunch, and later cross to Kisoro in western Uganda (1hrs). Dinner and overnight at Gorilla safari Lodge / Travelers Rest Hotel.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Tracking in southern Bwindi (Uganda)
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for another adventurous gorilla trekking excursion to Nshongi gorilla family, one of the largest gorilla groups in Africa. Time permitting, take a nature walk or cultural walk to nearby communities. Overnight to Gorilla safari Lodge / Travelers Rest Hotel.
Day 4: Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, a city tour of Kigali cab be arranged for you. Later, our tour guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight back to your home country.
