4 Days Rwanda Congo Gorilla safari | Gorilla Expedition in Virunga National park

Gorilla tracking in Congo is open to 40 trackers daily. There are 5 habituated gorilla families in the Virunga national park: - 3 gorilla families are located at D’jomba – Bikele and 3 families at Bukima. 20 gorilla trackers can access D’jomba and another group of 20 persons to Bukima.

Visas to Congo are pre-arranged a day before as you stay an overnight in Kisoro. At 0600hrs set off for 1hr and 30 minutes drive to Virunga national park – DR Congo.

This gorilla tour commences from Kigali and ends in Kigali.

4 Days Rwanda Congo Tour – Visit the Virunga national park in Congo

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport
Our tour guide will be holding a placard to receive you at the airport. He will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Depending on the time of arrival; you may enjoy a city tour including a visit to Gisozi genocide genocide memorial site. Overnight stay at Hotel Chez Lando / Mille Collines Hotel

Day 2: Cross to Kisoro in Uganda
In the morning our tour guide will transfer you via Cyanika border post to Kisoro in Uganda. This trip takes approximately 4 hours enjoying a scenic drive. Overnight stay at Gorilla Safari Lodge / Travelers Rest Hotel - Kisoro

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Virunga national park - Congo
After breakfast our tour guide will transfer you to Congo via Bunagana border post. Arrive at the park headquarters for a briefing from the park ranger before enjoying a guided gorilla tracking expedition in the parc national des Virunga. After tracking the mountain gorillas, you will cross back to Uganda. Overnight stay at Gorilla Safari Lodge / Travelers Rest Hotel - Kisoro

Day 4: Return to Rwanda
In the morning transfer back to Kigali for a city tour in case you missed it on your first day of the trip. Later you will be transferred to Kigali airport for your return flight.
